With around 3 weeks before the US elects a new president, their next door neighbours to the north are electing a new parliament today, Tuesday 14th October 2008.
It's the third time in just over 4 years that the Canadians have gone to the polls, and if the opinion polls are to be believed, then Stephen Harper will be back as Prime Minister.
But as has been said time and again, opinion polls do not decide elections, voters do. And despite the fact that no British broadcaster has seen fit to cover this story, IBC Super Channel will do a special live programme in the morning, rounding up the key stories of election night in Canada.
